The Auction Profile is the set of rules and instructions that control the way you want to run this auction. For example, if you hold auctions in different locations, you may have different sales tax laws and rates to deal with. In the profile, you'll also set up the name of this auction, its date, basic defaults for consignor commissions and your preferences for report and invoice printing. You can even enter specific instructions for your staff that will appear on this opening instructions screen. Many of the settings in the profile stay the same from auction to auction, so you can set them up to repeat for each auction to save time.
